Direct from a smash-hit season in Edinburgh, the award-winning Jazzamatazz lands at the Festival Club for Auckland Arts Festival 2015.
Jazzamatazz is jumpin', rock 'n' rolling jazz - snappy beats for kids aged one to seven-years-old, which get them singing, prancing, twisting and dancing! Led by the insanely talented Australian cabaret star and mother Ali McGregor, and a live jazz trio, Jazzmatazz will take over the Paradiso Spiegeltent for twice daily concerts from 6 -8 March.
With songs like Who Let the Dogs Out? and Single Ladies, the spirit of Jazzamatazz is infectious. Everybody young and not-so-young can't resist shufflin to the be-bop beats and hep-cat treats, while Ali and the band offer up dancing tips for rock 'n' roll, swing and jive.
There's also sing-along and action songs, old favourites and some nice, new numbers.
Parents, grandparents and friends can join in or sit back, relax and simply watch the little ones enjoy their first stand-up gig!
Award-winning singer and actress, Ali McGregor was a principal soprano with Opera Australia before becoming a leading international cabaret artist, performing at festivals around the world. As an actress she has performed in productions for The Sydney Theatre Company, and Londons Out of Joint touring company.
Her album Jazzamatazz, has been nominated for Best Childrens Album in the 2014 ARIA Awards.
